Our approach on energy use
Wellspect AB And Wellspect Medikal will promote sustainable energy use. We will work for efficient use of energy and make active choices to reduce the impact on the environment caused by energy use. We shall promote transition to renewable energy in all areas of the business. Work on energy efficiency should characterize the daily work and be part of a continuous improvement process.
To achieve this, we shall work in accordance with the following principles:
- The electricity purchased for our production as well as other premises shall be 100 % renewable.
- All new installation of general lighting shall be of led type.
- All new installation of general lighting in our premises shall be able to control and connect to a superior system. The control shall be designed for efficient use of electricity associated with lighting.
- The electricity consumption for new equipment in our production sites shall be able to be measured and read separately, and the consumption shall be reportable to a superior system.
- Energy used for heating our premises should be renewable to the greatest extent possible.
- New or rebuilt facilities shall be designed and equipped for efficient use of energy.
- New or updated production processes shall be designed and equipped for efficient use of energy.
- We shall annually identify and monitor targets related to energy use.
- We will actively promote awareness and understanding of resource and energy efficiency among our employees.
- We shall provide the resources required to meet the requirements of this energy policy.
