333 km | -30°C | 25 Days | World Record Attempt Redefining Impossible

Wellspect Sponsors a World-Record Sit-Ski Expedition to the South Pole

In December 2025, adaptive adventurer Darren Edwards and his team will embark on an extraordinary challenge: to set a new world record for the longest sit-ski expedition to the South Pole.

Covering 333 kilometers in just 25 days, this journey is three times the distance of the current record and will take place in one of the harshest environments on Earth, with temperatures dropping below -30°C.

This is more than an expedition—it’s a mission to redefine perceptions of disability and demonstrate the limitless potential of human resilience. Darren, who sustained a life-changing spinal cord injury in 2016 following a climbing accident, has since committed himself to changing the narrative around disability through feats of endurance that inspire and empower.

You can watch Darren talk about his journey — from the accident that changed his life to the moment he decided to take on the South Pole in the video below.

What we regard as ‘impossible’ is simply a test of our ability to adapt, persevere, and remain resilient.
